Post-operative private duty nursing care is an option of which many women take advantage. Often times, patients feel more comfortable A personal nurse the first night home with the care and attention of a personal nurse staying with them over night to respond to their needs.

Lymphatic massage was developed in the 1930s and aids to increase and improve the body's lymphatic system to eliminate toxins and improve the immune system. The lymph system has no central pump and subsequently depends upon muscle contraction through deep breathing, exercise, and manual manipulation to move fluid. Performing lymphatic massage can improve the flow of lymph by as much as 20 times. In so doing, it increases the white blood cell count which is responsible for killing bacteria, viruses, and parasites. Subsequently, in breaking up congested lymph fluid, which is especially common after injury or surgical procedures, lymphatic massage allows the cells to be bathed in fresh fluid, thus enhancing the tissue regeneration process and decreasing scarring by improving circulation and immunity.
